Until the Covid-19 vaccine, only a few military members sought spiritual exemptions to any vaccines.

Lt. Col. Brian Maguire, an Air Pressure Academy spokesman, stated every week ago that each one 4 of the cadets had been informed of the potential penalties and met with the academy’s superintendent. And he famous then that they nonetheless had time before commencement to change their minds — and one did.

Typically these cases contain college students with disciplinary issues or similar problems. The prices can be as a lot as $200,000, or more, and any last resolution on reimbursement is made by the service secretary.

Throughout the military, the Military, Navy, Air Pressure and Marine Corps have discharged as many as 4,000 energetic responsibility service members for refusing the vaccine. Those who flatly refuse the vaccine without seeking an exemption are still being discharged. However the courts have stalled further discharges of service members who sought non secular exemptions.
