800 employees resign after company asks them to work from office

As the Covid state of affairs has improved, several companies have already referred to as their employees to workplace, ending the work at home (WFH).

However, it appears some workers wish to make money working from home further. Lately, a whole bunch of staff have resigned when a company asked them to return to the workplace.

Over 800 WhiteHat Jr employees have resigned from the children online coding studying edtech start-up within the last two months after being requested to work from office.

This comes after WhiteHat Jr, a platform which was acquired by BYJU’S in 2020, requested its staff to return to workplace inside a month’s time, according to an Inc42 report.

On March 18, the company announced the policy to finish earn a living from home and requested remote staff to return to office by April 18.

The resignations came from full-time workers of the gross sales, coding, and math teams. More staff are expected to place down their papers in the coming months.

One of many staff who resigned told the web site that a month’s time was not sufficient for relocation. “Some have children, some have aged and sick parents, whereas others have other duties. It's not proper to name back staff in such a short period of time,” the previous WhiteHat Jr employee said.

One other employee mentioned salaries additionally factored in the determination to not return to the office.
