The household of an 11-year-old woman who survived the bloodbath at Robb Elementary Faculty in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday says the 4th grader performed lifeless after the gunman entered her classroom.

Miah Cerrillo's aunt and godmother stated the 4th grader is struggling to cope and telling them what she witnessed through the taking pictures.

"Around midnight my sister-in-law called me and he or she was just crying, like 'I feel it just hit Miah. I think everything came to reality now,'" said Blanca Rivera.

Rivera stated Miah's teacher, Irma Garcia, was one of many two academics killed. Her pals and classmates have been also focused.

Rivera stated that is when Miah went into survival mode.

"Miah acquired some blood and put it on herself so she may faux she was useless," said Rivera. "It's too much for me to play that scene over and over, but that's what my sister-in-law stated is that she noticed her buddy filled with blood and she received blood and put it on herself."

Miah was injured however taken to the hospital and has been launched.

"My brother said she had bullet fragments in her back," mentioned Rivera.

Rivera, a mom of three, said the household is rallying around Miah to assist her get better physically, emotionally and spiritually.

"At this point, we simply have to pray and ask God to assist us transfer forward through this example, I do know it's traumatizing as it's," said Rivera.
