Bordentown, NJ police chief sprawled in highway during DWI arrest

HAMILTON (Mercer) — A police chief from Burlington County now facing DWI costs in Mercer County was lying down within the highway behind his pickup truck, keys and cell phone strewn nearby — as seen in physique digicam footage from the April arrest.

Pesce has been on restricted responsibility till additional notice pending investigation results as he faces prices for five visitors offenses.

Pesce disputes that he had been driving, saying “Nobody was driving.”

He was promoted to chief in 2018, after 20 years with Bordentown police, following the resignation of disgraced former Bordentown Police Chief Frank Nucera.
