Comedian Andy Dick arrested on suspicion of sexual battery in California

Comedian Andy Dick was arrested Wednesday at a campground in Orange County, California, on suspicion of sexual battery, authorities stated.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Division responded to O’Neill Regional Park round 9 a.m. after the grownup male sufferer referred to as authorities a couple of doable sexual assault, said Sgt. Scott Steinle, a sheriff’s spokesman.

Dick, 56, was arrested on suspicion of felony sexual battery, Steinle mentioned.

The sheriff’s department wouldn't provide extra details concerning the nature of the allegations.

The Orange County District Lawyer’s Workplace had not received the case Wednesday and has not made a charging resolution, spokeswoman Kimberly Edds mentioned.

Deputies responded to a campground area of the 4,500-acre park close to the Santa Ana Mountains in Southern California, where they met the victim and finally arrested Dick, Steinle mentioned.

Dick was being held in lieu of $25,000 bail Wednesday, based on jail information. It was not instantly clear whether or not he had an legal professional who could speak on his behalf in the incident.

A person who has been Dick’s supervisor did not respond to a request for remark.

Dick was accused of groping a male ride-share driver in West Hollywood in 2018 and charged the following 12 months with misdemeanor sexual battery.

Dick has pleaded not responsible, and the case is about for trial, stated his lawyer in that matter, Daniel Kapelovitz. Kapelovitz stated he does not represent Dick in Wednesday’s incident and had not spoken to him.
