Comedian Andy Dick arrested on suspicion of sexual battery in California

Comic Andy Dick was arrested Wednesday at a campground in Orange County, California, on suspicion of sexual battery, authorities stated.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Division responded to O’Neill Regional Park around 9 a.m. after the adult male victim called authorities a couple of attainable sexual assault, stated Sgt. Scott Steinle, a sheriff’s spokesman.

Dick, 56, was arrested on suspicion of felony sexual battery, Steinle said.

The sheriff’s division would not present extra particulars concerning the nature of the allegations.

The Orange County District Lawyer’s Office had not acquired the case Wednesday and has not made a charging resolution, spokeswoman Kimberly Edds stated.

Deputies responded to a campground area of the 4,500-acre park close to the Santa Ana Mountains in Southern California, where they met the victim and ultimately arrested Dick, Steinle stated.

Dick was being held in lieu of $25,000 bail Wednesday, in accordance with jail information. It was not instantly clear whether or not he had an attorney who might speak on his behalf in the incident.

A person who has been Dick’s supervisor didn't respond to a request for comment.

Dick was accused of groping a male ride-share driver in West Hollywood in 2018 and charged the next 12 months with misdemeanor sexual battery.

Dick has pleaded not responsible, and the case is set for trial, said his legal professional in that matter, Daniel Kapelovitz. Kapelovitz said he doesn't signify Dick in Wednesday’s incident and had not spoken to him.
