Comedian Andy Dick arrested on suspicion of sexual battery in California

Comic Andy Dick was arrested Wednesday at a campground in Orange County, California, on suspicion of sexual battery, authorities said.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Division responded to O’Neill Regional Park around 9 a.m. after the adult male sufferer referred to as authorities a few possible sexual assault, stated Sgt. Scott Steinle, a sheriff’s spokesman.

Dick, 56, was arrested on suspicion of felony sexual battery, Steinle mentioned.

The sheriff’s department wouldn't present more particulars concerning the nature of the allegations.

The Orange County District Attorney’s Workplace had not acquired the case Wednesday and has not made a charging determination, spokeswoman Kimberly Edds stated.

Deputies responded to a campground space of the 4,500-acre park near the Santa Ana Mountains in Southern California, where they met the sufferer and ultimately arrested Dick, Steinle said.

Dick was being held in lieu of $25,000 bail Wednesday, in keeping with jail information. It was not instantly clear whether he had an legal professional who may speak on his behalf in the incident.
