Drunk driver crashes, heads straight to dealership to attempt to sell damaged automobile with missing tire

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Police say they arrested a driver who was 3.5 occasions the legal alcohol restrict after no less than five people called 911.

Officers say the calls began coming in round 4:40 p.m. Monday.

They are saying witnesses reported seeing a SUV hit the median of the Lloyd Expressway close to the Important Avenue exit. They say the crash caused a flat tire and the automotive to smoke, but the driver saved going.

Different callers say the driving force was everywhere in the street and now lacking a front tire.

They say he ultimately stopped at a car dealership and appeared “super drunk.”

Staff told police the driving force, 30-year-old Jordon Mattingly, was trying to sell his SUV.

Police say he had swelling and scratches as if he had just been in a crash.

They are saying Mattingly smelled of alcohol and nearly fell several instances. Officers say he tested .291 on a portable breath take a look at.

Police say inside his SUV, they discovered 4 Loko cans and a can of White Claw.

Mattingly is facing several prices.

He's the son of the manager for the Miami Marlins and former professional baseball player, Don Mattingly.
