Drunk driver crashes, heads straight to dealership to try to promote damaged car with lacking tire

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Police say they arrested a driver who was 3.5 instances the authorized alcohol restrict after at least five individuals known as 911.

Officers say the calls started coming in round 4:40 p.m. Monday.

They are saying witnesses reported seeing a SUV hit the median of the Lloyd Expressway near the Essential Street exit. They are saying the crash triggered a flat tire and the automobile to smoke, however the driver stored going.

They say he eventually stopped at a automotive dealership and appeared “tremendous drunk.”

Employees instructed police the motive force, 30-year-old Jordon Mattingly, was attempting to sell his SUV.
