Speaking within the dugout of the Nice American Ballpark in Cincinnati, Ohio, Kapler stated, "I don't plan on popping out for the anthem going forward till I really feel better in regards to the route of our nation."

In a blog put up, Kapler questioned whether the nation's management is dedicated to representing its people's best interests and whether or not america is truly "the land of the free and the house of the courageous."

"We weren't given bravery, and we aren't free. The police on the scene put a mother in handcuffs as she begged them to go in and save her kids. They blocked parents trying to arrange to cost in to cease the shooter, including a father who realized his daughter was murdered while he argued with the cops. We aren't free when politicians resolve that the lobbyist and gun industries are extra important than our kids's freedom to go to high school while not having bulletproof backpacks and lively shooter drills," Kapler wrote.

Later, Kapler wrote about his disillusionment with what he called "the lack of supply of the promise of what our national anthem represents."

"I am not okay with the state of this country. I want I hadn't let my discomfort compromise my integrity. I want that I may have demonstrated what I realized from my dad, that if you're dissatisfied with your nation, you let it be recognized by protest. The home of the brave should encourage this."

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr made an impassioned plea to take stronger action towards gun violence in the United States.

Kerr refused to speak about basketball forward of Recreation 4 of the Warriors' sequence towards the Dallas Mavericks, as an alternative elevating his voice as he railed against gun violence within the wake of Tuesday's taking pictures.

"Within the last 10 days, we've had elderly Black individuals killed in a supermarket in Buffalo, we've had Asian churchgoers killed in Southern California, now we have kids murdered at college," Kerr advised reporters in the beginning of the press convention.

"When are we going to do something? I'm drained. I'm so bored with getting up right here and offering condolences to the devastated families which might be out there ... I'm tired of the moments of silence. Sufficient."
