9 Shot, One Lifeless in San Bernardino County – NBC Los Angeles

One person was killed and eight others had been injured Friday evening when pictures had been fired at a large social gathering at a strip mall hookah lounge within the San Bernardino County community of Highland.

The taking pictures within the city east of San Bernardino was reported just before midnight within the 3600 block of East Highland Avenue. Officers encountered a big crowd of about 100 folks within the space for a party at a hookah lounge.

A shooting victim located exterior died on the scene. A lady at the scene who recognized herself because the victim's grandmother stated he's 20 years old.

Eight other folks have been hospitalized with what seem like non-life-threatening accidents, police said. The sheriff's division initially mentioned 10 individuals were shot, but later updated that number to nine, including the deceased sufferer.

Police are looking for two shooters in reference to the capturing, a source near the investigation instructed NBCLA. The source stated a lot of the injured victims have been caught in the crossfire and did not appear to be intended targets.

Evidence markers were positioned at a nearby gas station. Crime scene tape blocked off the intersection early Saturday near Tha Blu Flame lounge.

NBCLA has reached out to the business for remark.

The motive for the taking pictures is underneath investigation, police stated.

No arrests were reported. Detailed descriptions of the shooters weren't immediately available.

Highland is simply east of San Bernardino on the base of the San Bernardino Mountains.
