Based on police, the parent, recognized as 55-year-old Anthony White, dropped his gun and by chance shot himself. His harm was not serious.

Arlington Police Chief Al Jones stated after White was launched from the hospital, he was arrested and charged with unlawful carrying of a weapon in prohibited places and discharge of a firearm in certain municipalities.

Rasheed stated Thursday was the commencement day for 6th grade students at Duff Elementary.

Whereas driving her son to high school within the morning, she had a chat with him about Uvalde and what to do if one thing ever occurred at his school.

"If something happened, you’ve received to run anyplace that’s secure and hide," she told her child.

Whereas some say the incident in Uvalde is just too recent to talk politics, Mitchell mentioned something must be achieved now. 

"They wish to talk about it, they wish to campaign on it, they wish to fundraiser on it, but they don’t want to truly pass any laws and do something," he added.
