DALLAS - The excessive court docket will allow a wrongful dying lawsuit to proceed towards the town of Dallas and four cops.

The household of a person who died in police custody in 2016 sued.

Tony Timpa referred to as police for assist as he had a drug and mental health crisis.

The town of Dallas argued the officers are legally protected from lawsuits.

The Supreme Court upheld a federal appeals courtroom’s ruling that can permit the case to proceed.

"The choice means that the case can proceed to trial and that there shall be no extra delays from any appellate court docket.
