DALLAS - The high courtroom will permit a wrongful death lawsuit to proceed in opposition to the town of Dallas and 4 police officers.

The household of a man who died in police custody in 2016 sued.

Tony Timpa called police for assist as he had a drug and mental well being disaster.

The city of Dallas argued the officers are legally protected from lawsuits.

The Supreme Courtroom upheld a federal appeals courtroom’s ruling that can allow the case to proceed.

These are the states lined by the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals ruling permitting the suit to proceed.
