Afghanistan’s supreme chief and Taliban chief on Saturday ordered the country’s women to put on the all-covering burqa in public - one of many harshest controls imposed on ladies’s lives since the Taliban seized power.
“They need to wear a chadori (head-to-toe burqa) as it's conventional and respectful,” mentioned a decree issued by Hibatullah Akhundzada that was launched by Taliban authorities at a function in Kabul.
“These ladies who should not too previous or young must cover their face, besides the eyes, as per sharia directives, to be able to keep away from provocation when assembly men who usually are not mahram (adult close male relatives),” the decree said.
It added that if girls had no necessary work outdoors it was “higher they keep at house.”
Throughout their first regime between 1996 and 2001, the Taliban imposed related restrictions on girls.
