Teen arrested after mother noticed son had gun at Texas college drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Grey News) - Several agencies responded to a center college in Texas Friday morning after a young person’s mother seen he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock tell KCBD a mom was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Center School around 9 a.m. when she noticed the firearm. The teenager never made it contained in the building, and he ran from the school.
The Lubbock Police Division responded to the world along with several different agencies in an try to search out him.
The teen was found close to the college’s campus and brought into custody.
Authorities mentioned the 15-year-old could be facing a felony weapons cost.
Police say there was no threat made to the school or anybody inside the college.
O.L. Slaton Center School was briefly placed on lockout on account of the incident.
