Teen arrested after mom noticed son had gun at Texas college drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Grey News) - A number of companies responded to a middle faculty in Texas Friday morning after a youngster’s mother seen he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock inform KCBD a mom was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Middle Faculty round 9 a.m. when she seen the firearm. The teenager by no means made it contained in the building, and he ran from the school.
The Lubbock Police Department responded to the world along with a number of different agencies in an attempt to seek out him.
The teen was found near the varsity’s campus and brought into custody.
Authorities stated the 15-year-old might be dealing with a felony weapons charge.
Police say there was no menace made to the college or anyone inside the college.
O.L. Slaton Center School was briefly placed on lockout because of the incident.
