Teen arrested after mom observed son had gun at Texas school drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Grey News) - A number of companies responded to a middle school in Texas Friday morning after a teenager’s mom seen he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock inform KCBD a mother was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Center College around 9 a.m. when she seen the firearm. The teenager never made it contained in the building, and he ran from the varsity.
The Lubbock Police Department responded to the area together with a number of other companies in an try to search out him.
The teenager was discovered near the varsity’s campus and taken into custody.
Authorities said the 15-year-old might be going through a felony weapons charge.
Police say there was no risk made to the college or anybody inside the school.
O.L. Slaton Center College was briefly placed on lockout as a result of the incident.
