Teen arrested after mother seen son had gun at Texas college drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Gray Information) - Several agencies responded to a center faculty in Texas Friday morning after a youngster’s mom seen he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock tell KCBD a mother was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Middle School round 9 a.m. when she noticed the firearm. The teenager never made it contained in the constructing, and he ran from the college.
The Lubbock Police Division responded to the area together with a number of different companies in an attempt to seek out him.
The teen was found near the school’s campus and brought into custody.
Authorities stated the 15-year-old could be going through a felony weapons cost.
Police say there was no menace made to the varsity or anybody inside the college.
O.L. Slaton Middle School was briefly placed on lockout on account of the incident.
