Uvalde police, college district now not cooperating with Texas probe of taking pictures: Sources

The Uvalde Police Department and the Uvalde Unbiased Faculty District police pressure are not cooperating with the Texas Department of Public Security's investigation into the bloodbath at Robb Elementary College and the state's assessment of the law enforcement response, a number of legislation enforcement sources inform ABC News.

The Uvalde police chief and a spokesperson for the Uvalde Unbiased School District did not immediately respond to requests for comment from ABC News.

In response to sources, the decision to cease cooperating occurred soon after the director of DPS, Col. Steven McCraw, held a information convention Friday during which he stated the delayed police entry into the classroom was "the flawed choice" and opposite to protocol.

Reached by ABC News, a spokesperson for the Texas Division of Public Safety mentioned, "The Uvalde Police Department and Uvalde CISD Police have been cooperating with investigators. The chief of the Uvalde CISD Police offered an preliminary interview but has not responded to a request for a follow-up interview with the Texas Rangers that was made two days ago."

Last Tuesday's attack, one of the worst faculty shootings in U.S. historical past, left 19 children and two adults lifeless.
