Teen arrested after mom seen son had gun at Texas school drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Grey News) - A number of businesses responded to a middle college in Texas Friday morning after a teen’s mom observed he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock tell KCBD a mom was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Center Faculty around 9 a.m. when she seen the firearm. The teen never made it contained in the building, and he ran from the school.
The Lubbock Police Department responded to the realm together with a number of different businesses in an attempt to find him.
The teen was found close to the college’s campus and taken into custody.
Authorities said the 15-year-old could be going through a felony weapons charge.
Police say there was no risk made to the college or anyone inside the school.
O.L. Slaton Middle School was briefly positioned on lockout on account of the incident.
