Teen arrested after mom seen son had gun at Texas faculty drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Grey Information) - A number of agencies responded to a middle college in Texas Friday morning after a teenager’s mom noticed he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock inform KCBD a mom was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Middle College around 9 a.m. when she noticed the firearm. The teenager never made it inside the constructing, and he ran from the school.
The Lubbock Police Division responded to the realm along with several other businesses in an try to find him.
The teen was found near the school’s campus and brought into custody.
Authorities stated the 15-year-old could possibly be going through a felony weapons charge.
Police say there was no menace made to the college or anybody inside the college.
O.L. Slaton Center School was briefly positioned on lockout as a result of the incident.
