Teen arrested after mother noticed son had gun at Texas college drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Grey Information) - A number of agencies responded to a middle college in Texas Friday morning after a youngster’s mother seen he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock inform KCBD a mom was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Center College round 9 a.m. when she observed the firearm. The teen by no means made it inside the constructing, and he ran from the varsity.
The Lubbock Police Department responded to the realm along with a number of different companies in an attempt to search out him.
The teenager was discovered near the college’s campus and brought into custody.
Authorities said the 15-year-old could possibly be facing a felony weapons charge.
Police say there was no risk made to the college or anybody inside the school.
