Greg Joswiak, Apple's senior vice-president of worldwide marketing, mentioned: "Immediately, the spirit of iPod lives on.

In October 2001, Steve Jobs debuted the unique iPod and it was the primary MP3 player that would maintain 1,000 songs and had a 10-hour battery life.

"With iPod, Apple has invented an entire new category of digital music player that lets you put your complete music collection in your pocket and listen to it wherever you go," he said on the time.

"With iPod, listening to music will never be the same once more."
