A California district lawyer declined to file prices Tuesday against former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson after he was recorded on video in a physical altercation with one other passenger on a JetBlue flight.

San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe made the decision after having reviewed police experiences and movies of the April 20 incident. Both the passenger, who has not been identified, and Tyson requested that no fees be filed.

"Yesterday afternoon the San Mateo County District Lawyer’s Office concluded its evaluate of the case involving Mike Tyson at the San Francisco Airport on April 20, 2022 and the allegation that he dedicated a misdemeanor battery in opposition to one other passenger on an airplane whereas waiting at the terminal previous to departure," Wagstaffe stated in a statement.

"Our determination is that we are going to not file any fees against Mr. Tyson based on the circumstances surrounding the confrontation. These embrace the conduct of the victim main up to the incident, the interaction between Mr. Tyson and the sufferer, as well as the requests of each the sufferer and Mr. Tyson that no fees be filed on this case," Wagstaffe said.

The case is now closed.

Cellphone video confirmed Tyson, 55, showing to try to punch somebody who was pushing him away. Representatives for Tyson stated the individual was harassing Tyson. The video didn't show what occurred before the altercation.

David Chesnoff, Richard Schonfeld and Martin Sabelli, attorneys for Tyson, responded to the choice to not file expenses by thanking Wagstaffe, the San Mateo County sheriff and regulation enforcement companies "for his or her cautious, diligent, and professional work."
