Man arrested in connection with “school shooter” signs present in 3 New Hampshire communities

BARNSTEAD, N.H. -- A man was arrested Friday after multiple indicators saying "college shooter" had been found in Barnstead, Epsom, and Pittsfield, New Hampshire, the state's Division of Safety announced. Guy Hanson, 61, of Pittsfield, faces a number of prices. 

An elevated quantity of police officers had been positioned at schools within the communities because of the signs. Multiple colleges initiated lockdowns as a precaution shortly after.

Hanson allegedly positioned the signs around the communities, the Department of Safety mentioned, however they decided there is no such thing as a credible risk at the moment.

One such sign was written on a paper plate. The safety division launched a photo of the plate however blurred a part of it "to protect the integrity of the investigation." 

Hanson was arrested on a felony charge of felony threatening and three misdemeanor expenses together with false report to legislation enforcement, false public alarm and felony threatening. He is being held in Merrimack County Jail pending a listening to scheduled for Tuesday.
