"We weren't given bravery, and we aren't free. The police on the scene put a mother in handcuffs as she begged them to go in and save her children. They blocked mother and father attempting to arrange to charge in to cease the shooter, including a father who discovered his daughter was murdered whereas he argued with the cops. We aren't free when politicians resolve that the lobbyist and gun industries are extra vital than our kids's freedom to go to high school with no need bulletproof backpacks and energetic shooter drills," Kapler wrote.

Later, Kapler wrote about his disillusionment with what he called "the shortage of delivery of the promise of what our national anthem represents."

"I am not okay with the state of this nation. I wish I hadn't let my discomfort compromise my integrity. I wish that I might have demonstrated what I learned from my dad, that whenever you're dissatisfied with your nation, you let it be identified via protest. The house of the courageous should encourage this."

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr made an impassioned plea to take stronger action against gun violence in america.

Kerr refused to talk about basketball forward of Game 4 of the Warriors' sequence in opposition to the Dallas Mavericks, instead elevating his voice as he railed against gun violence in the wake of Tuesday's shooting.

"Within the last 10 days, we've had aged Black folks killed in a supermarket in Buffalo, we have had Asian churchgoers killed in Southern California, now now we have children murdered at college," Kerr advised reporters at the beginning of the press conference.

"When are we going to do something? I am tired. I am so uninterested in getting up right here and offering condolences to the devastated families which are out there ... I'm uninterested in the moments of silence. Enough."
