EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Police say they arrested a driver who was 3.5 instances the legal alcohol limit after at least five individuals referred to as 911.
Officers say the calls started coming in round 4:40 p.m. Monday.
They are saying witnesses reported seeing a SUV hit the median of the Lloyd Expressway near the Principal Street exit. They are saying the crash caused a flat tire and the automotive to smoke, but the driver stored going.
Other callers say the motive force was all around the highway and now lacking a entrance tire.
They say he finally stopped at a car dealership and appeared “super drunk.”
Staff informed police the driving force, 30-year-old Jordon Mattingly, was attempting to promote his SUV.
Police say he had swelling and scratches as if he had simply been in a crash.
They are saying Mattingly smelled of alcohol and virtually fell several instances. Officers say he tested .291 on a conveyable breath take a look at.
Police say inside his SUV, they found Four Loko cans and a can of White Claw.
Mattingly is going through a number of expenses.
He's the son of the manager for the Miami Marlins and former skilled baseball player, Don Mattingly.
