A lady visiting Yellowstone Nationwide Park was gored by a bison and tossed into the air, park officers mentioned Tuesday.
The 25-year-old girl, who was visiting from Ohio, was not identified in a news launch from the park.
The woman approached the female bison Monday morning after it got here near a boardwalk at Black Sand Basin, near Old Trustworthy geyser, the park said.

Fuller / VWPics through AP Photos filePark rules require visitors to stay more than 25 yards from the animals, the largest mammals in North America, which are unpredictable, can prime speeds of 35 mph and can soar a number of toes.
An estimated 2,300 to five,500 bison dwell at the park, and they have injured more individuals than another animal, the park said.
When the visitor came within 10 ft of the animal, the bison impaled her and "tossed" her 10 toes in the air, the park stated.
The girl had puncture wounds and different accidents and was taken to a hospital in Idaho, the service stated. Her condition was unknown Tuesday.
Two other people were also near the animal when it gored the lady, the park mentioned. The release didn’t say if they had been injured.
The park warned folks to remain 25 yards from bison, elk, bighorn sheep and moose and no less than 100 yards from bears and wolves.
