Die späten Modellen der Suchalgorithmen basierten auf Infos, die mit den Webmaster selbst vorgegeben werden konnten, wie Meta-Elemente, oder durch Indexdateien in Suchmaschinen im WWW wie ALIWEB. Meta-Elemente geben einen Eindruck per Gehalt einer Seite, aber setzte sich bald heraus, dass die Anwendung der Details nicht ordentlich war, da die Wahl der angewendeten Schlagworte dank dem Webmaster eine ungenaue Abbildung des Seiteninhalts spiegeln kann. Ungenaue und unvollständige Daten in Meta-Elementen konnten so irrelevante Seiten bei charakteristischen Suchen listen.[2] Auch versuchten Seitenersteller unterschiedliche Punkte in des HTML-Codes einer Seite so zu lenken, dass die Seite richtiger in Serps aufgeführt wird.[3] Da die frühen Suchmaschinen im Netz sehr auf Merkmalen dependent waren, die bloß in den Fingern der Webmaster lagen, waren sie auch sehr vulnerabel für Schindluder und Manipulationen in der Positionierung. Um höhere und relevantere Testurteile in Suchergebnissen zu erhalten, musste ich sich die Inhaber der Suchmaschinen im Netz an diese Gegebenheiten adjustieren. Weil der Riesenerfolg einer Suchseite davon abhängt, essentielle Suchergebnisse zu den inszenierten Suchbegriffen anzuzeigen, vermochten unangebrachte Resultate darin resultieren, dass sich die Benutzer nach sonstigen Entwicklungsmöglichkeiten für den Bereich Suche im Web umschauen. Die Auskunft der Search Engines lagerbestand in komplexeren Algorithmen für das Rangfolge, die Gesichtspunkte beinhalteten, die von Webmastern nicht oder nur mühevoll steuerbar waren. Larry Page und Sergey Brin konstruierten mit „Backrub“ – dem Urahn von Yahoo – eine Suchseite, die auf einem mathematischen Algorithmus basierte, der mit Hilfe der Verlinkungsstruktur Kanten gewichtete und dies in den Rankingalgorithmus reingehen ließ. Can someone help me with the issue:
When I enable the SEO in System>Settings>Store>Server Tab, everything looks and runs Okay, exept when I go in ANY sub-category.
Then the site's URL goes from MySiteNameURL/MainCategory, to MySiteNameURL/MainCategory/AnySubCategory and CSS and JS are not loading at all! The category items listed in this categories are loading , exept the Style CSS file and any JS I have. In other words the site's style is gone.
But:
But if I drop the MainCategory from the URL and enter directly: MySiteNameURL/AnySubCategory the site is finding the correct path to the CSS and JS and everything is Okay.
Please, could someone help me with this? Thank You.

IMPORTANT FOR localhost! If you running project under sub directory for example localhost/opencart/upload you should update .htaccess

Thanks for the video, this made things that little easier for me, the only difference I had to make was to add a few custom lines from my .htaccess to the bottom of the new .txt one as my site forces https access. Took a few seconds and no issues so far 🙂
Doing this has broken all product pages. When I click on any product I open an error page that says something like this: "Fatal error: Uncaught Twig_Error_Loader: Unable to find template "extension/module/quickorder.twig" followed by paths that are missing.

Then again, what about all the product pages? They still show an ugly, ridiculous URL like:
index.php?route=product/product&product_id=40 ???
Who would ever try to even think about buying a product_id=40 from any online store?

I had this setup just fine on my site, but now I'm working with a multi site, and the seo url's do not work with the additional store. I get error 500. I can not figure out why.

I have two htaccess files
htaccess and .htaccess.txt
What do I do here, delete htaccess which is the original file and amend the .htaccess.txt by removing the .txt extension?

Hello. I have made all as described here, but get 404. And not seo urls works. My site use 2 languages and I have set keywords for both languages. Finally it works, but changing language go to home page and connection on seo url pages are not secure.
It would be good to add that one should only put category_id=xxx for category etc. because first I was trying to add the whole link with index.php and so one.
