Die Seitenbesitzer erkannten direkt den Wert einer bevorzugten Listung in den Serps und recht bald fand man Einrichtung, die sich auf die Optimierung qualifitierten. In den Anfängen ereignete sich die Aufnahme oft bezüglich der Transfer der URL der geeigneten Seite an die vielfältigen Suchmaschinen im Netz. Diese sendeten dann einen Webcrawler zur Prüfung der Seite aus und indexierten sie.[1] Der Webcrawler lud die Webpräsenz auf den Web Server der Recherche, wo ein 2. Computerprogramm, der gern genutzte Indexer, Informationen herauslas und katalogisierte (genannte Wörter, Links zu anderen Seiten). Die zeitigen Versionen der Suchalgorithmen basierten auf Infos, die aufgrund der Webmaster sogar vorliegen worden sind, wie Meta-Elemente, oder durch Indexdateien in Suchmaschinen im Internet wie ALIWEB. Meta-Elemente geben einen Überblick per Content einer Seite, allerdings setzte sich bald raus, dass die Anwendung der Hinweise nicht gewissenhaft war, da die Wahl der eingesetzten Schlagworte dank dem Webmaster eine ungenaue Erläuterung des Seiteninhalts spiegeln konnte. Ungenaue und unvollständige Daten in den Meta-Elementen vermochten so irrelevante Internetseiten bei einzigartigen Stöbern listen.[2] Auch versuchten Seitenersteller unterschiedliche Attribute innert des HTML-Codes einer Seite so zu lenken, dass die Seite passender in Resultaten aufgeführt wird.[3] Da die damaligen Suchmaschinen im WWW sehr auf Merkmalen dependent waren, die bloß in den Fingern der Webmaster lagen, waren sie auch sehr vulnerabel für Missbrauch und Manipulationen im Ranking. Um tolle und relevantere Testurteile in Suchergebnissen zu erhalten, mussten sich die Inhaber der Search Engines an diese Voraussetzungen integrieren. Weil der Ergebnis einer Suchseite davon anhängig ist, wichtige Ergebnisse der Suchmaschine zu den inszenierten Keywords anzuzeigen, vermochten unpassende Testergebnisse dazu führen, dass sich die Mensch nach diversen Varianten bei der Suche im Web umsehen. Die Auskunft der Suchmaschinen im WWW lagerbestand in komplexeren Algorithmen für das Rangordnung, die Faktoren beinhalteten, die von Webmastern nicht oder nur schwierig lenkbar waren. Larry Page und Sergey Brin konstruierten mit „Backrub“ – dem Stammvater von Google – eine Suchmaschine, die auf einem mathematischen Suchalgorithmus basierte, der anhand der Verlinkungsstruktur Internetseiten gewichtete und dies in den Rankingalgorithmus einfluss besitzen ließ. Auch zusätzliche Search Engines bedeckt bei Folgezeit die Verlinkungsstruktur bspw. gesund der Linkpopularität in ihre Algorithmen mit ein. Suchmaschinen
Is using a server side wildcard redirect good practice? This was done but the old domain urls are still indexed a year later. Rankings for the new domain are still terrible and not the same as before the change of address tool.

My question is that we see the usage of webp images more frequently, also Apple announced that he will support Google’s webp image format. Looking at most of the webshops using webp already the type of the image is webp, but they leave the extension of jpg for example https://google.com/image.jpg but type is webp. What could be the reason for that? Wouldn't it be better if the image would have a .webp extension or no extension at all. Is this related somehow to indexing or SEO? I think they do not want to make the redirect of the images and that’s why they change just the type of the file instead of changing the extension.

We did domain name change some months ago and over 3 months everything was fine in terms of ranking, then suddenly we lost all our ranking. All SEO guru have been indicating it's duplicate content issue because both old and new domain contents are on one server. Can you drop some light on this?

If you migrate your website then check out 301 redirect a few times. Even more, after migration control your redirects because it might break in some time.
