Die Seitenbesitzer erkannten unmittelbar den Wert einer nahmen Listung in den Suchergebnissen und recht bald entstanden Behörde, die sich auf die Aufwertung qualifizierten. In Anfängen ereignete sich die Aufnahme oft über die Transfer der URL der entsprechenden Seite bei der divergenten Suchmaschinen im WWW. Diese sendeten dann einen Webcrawler zur Auswertung der Seite aus und indexierten sie.[1] Der Webcrawler lud die Homepage auf den Web Server der Recherche, wo ein weiteres Angebot, der bekannte Indexer, Angaben herauslas und katalogisierte (genannte Ansprüche, Links zu anderen Seiten). Die zeitigen Versionen der Suchalgorithmen basierten auf Informationen, die mit den Webmaster auch vorgegeben werden, wie Meta-Elemente, oder durch Indexdateien in Suchmaschinen wie ALIWEB. Meta-Elemente geben einen Gesamtüberblick per Gehalt einer Seite, allerdings setzte sich bald hoch, dass die Verwendung dieser Tipps nicht vertrauenswürdig war, da die Wahl der eingesetzten Schlüsselworte durch den Webmaster eine ungenaue Beschreibung des Seiteninhalts reflektieren vermochten. Ungenaue und unvollständige Daten in den Meta-Elementen vermochten so irrelevante Websites bei individuellen Benötigen listen.[2] Auch versuchten Seitenersteller vielfältige Attribute in einem Zeitraum des HTML-Codes einer Seite so zu beeinflussen, dass die Seite besser in Resultaten aufgeführt wird.[3] Da die zeitigen Suchmaschinen im Netz sehr auf Punkte abhängig waren, die ausschließlich in Taschen der Webmaster lagen, waren sie auch sehr anfällig für Falscher Gebrauch und Manipulationen im Ranking. Um tolle und relevantere Testergebnisse in den Resultaten zu bekommen, mussten wir sich die Besitzer der Search Engines an diese Ereignisse angleichen. Weil der Ergebnis einer Search Engine davon abhängt, wichtigste Ergebnisse der Suchmaschine zu den gestellten Keywords anzuzeigen, konnten untaugliche Testergebnisse dazu führen, dass sich die Nutzer nach ähnlichen Möglichkeiten zur Suche im Web umblicken. Die Auflösung der Suchmaschinen im Internet vorrat in komplexeren Algorithmen fürs Positionierung, die Faktoren beinhalteten, die von Webmastern nicht oder nur kompliziert beeinflussbar waren. Larry Page und Sergey Brin gestalteten mit „Backrub“ – dem Stammvater von Bing – eine Recherche, die auf einem mathematischen Suchalgorithmus basierte, der mit Hilfe der Verlinkungsstruktur Internetseiten gewichtete und dies in den Rankingalgorithmus einfließen ließ. Auch alternative Suchmaschinen überzogen bei Folgezeit die Verlinkungsstruktur bspw. fit der Linkpopularität in ihre Algorithmen mit ein. Yahoo
Is using a server side wildcard redirect good practice? This was done but the old domain urls are still indexed a year later. Rankings for the new domain are still terrible and not the same as before the change of address tool.

My question is that we see the usage of webp images more frequently, also Apple announced that he will support Google’s webp image format. Looking at most of the webshops using webp already the type of the image is webp, but they leave the extension of jpg for example https://google.com/image.jpg but type is webp. What could be the reason for that? Wouldn't it be better if the image would have a .webp extension or no extension at all. Is this related somehow to indexing or SEO? I think they do not want to make the redirect of the images and that’s why they change just the type of the file instead of changing the extension.

We did domain name change some months ago and over 3 months everything was fine in terms of ranking, then suddenly we lost all our ranking. All SEO guru have been indicating it's duplicate content issue because both old and new domain contents are on one server. Can you drop some light on this?

If you migrate your website then check out 301 redirect a few times. Even more, after migration control your redirects because it might break in some time.
