- Mehr zu SEO Mitte der 1990er Jahre fingen die ersten Suchmaschinen im Netz an, das frühe Web zu ordnen. Die Seitenbesitzer erkannten flott den Wert einer lieblings Positionierung in Suchergebnissen und recht bald fand man Firma, die sich auf die Aufbesserung ausgerichteten. In Anfängen bis zu diesem Zeitpunkt die Aufnahme oft bezüglich der Übertragung der URL der geeigneten Seite an die divergenten Internet Suchmaschinen. Diese sendeten dann einen Webcrawler zur Analyse der Seite aus und indexierten sie.[1] Der Webcrawler lud die Webseite auf den Server der Suchmaschine, wo ein weiteres Software, der gern genutzte Indexer, Infos herauslas und katalogisierte (genannte Wörter, Links zu ähnlichen Seiten). Die damaligen Varianten der Suchalgorithmen basierten auf Informationen, die aufgrund der Webmaster selbst vorgegeben sind, wie Meta-Elemente, oder durch Indexdateien in Suchmaschinen wie ALIWEB. Meta-Elemente geben eine Gesamtübersicht über den Gegenstand einer Seite, gewiss stellte sich bald herab, dass die Verwendung er Tipps nicht zuverlässig war, da die Wahl der gebrauchten Schlüsselworte dank dem Webmaster eine ungenaue Abbildung des Seiteninhalts repräsentieren hat. Ungenaue und unvollständige Daten in Meta-Elementen vermochten so irrelevante Seiten bei speziellen Recherchieren listen.[2] Auch versuchten Seitenersteller verschiedene Eigenschaften in einem Zeitraum des HTML-Codes einer Seite so zu beeinflussen, dass die Seite stärker in den Suchergebnissen aufgeführt wird.[3] Da die späten Search Engines sehr auf Faktoren dependent waren, die bloß in Taschen der Webmaster lagen, waren sie auch sehr instabil für Missbrauch und Manipulationen im Ranking. Um tolle und relevantere Testergebnisse in den Resultaten zu bekommen, mussten wir sich die Besitzer der Suchmaschinen im Netz an diese Rahmenbedingungen adjustieren. Weil der Triumph einer Suchseite davon anhängig ist, wichtigste Suchergebnisse zu den gestellten Suchbegriffen anzuzeigen, konnten unpassende Testergebnisse dazu führen, dass sich die Benutzer nach diversen Varianten zur Suche im Web umsehen. Die Antwort der Internet Suchmaschinen vorrat in komplexeren Algorithmen fürs Rangfolge, die Kriterien beinhalteten, die von Webmastern nicht oder nur kompliziert kontrollierbar waren. Larry Page und Sergey Brin gestalteten mit „Backrub“ – dem Vorläufer von Yahoo – eine Anlaufstelle, die auf einem mathematischen Suchsystem basierte, der mit Hilfe der Verlinkungsstruktur Seiten gewichtete und dies in den Rankingalgorithmus einfließen ließ. Auch andere Suchmaschinen relevant in der Folgezeit die Verlinkungsstruktur bspw. gesund der Linkpopularität in ihre Algorithmen mit ein. Yahoo search
Is using a server side wildcard redirect good practice? This was done but the old domain urls are still indexed a year later. Rankings for the new domain are still terrible and not the same as before the change of address tool.

My question is that we see the usage of webp images more frequently, also Apple announced that he will support Google’s webp image format. Looking at most of the webshops using webp already the type of the image is webp, but they leave the extension of jpg for example https://google.com/image.jpg but type is webp. What could be the reason for that? Wouldn't it be better if the image would have a .webp extension or no extension at all. Is this related somehow to indexing or SEO? I think they do not want to make the redirect of the images and that’s why they change just the type of the file instead of changing the extension.

We did domain name change some months ago and over 3 months everything was fine in terms of ranking, then suddenly we lost all our ranking. All SEO guru have been indicating it's duplicate content issue because both old and new domain contents are on one server. Can you drop some light on this?

If you migrate your website then check out 301 redirect a few times. Even more, after migration control your redirects because it might break in some time.
