Die Seitenbesitzer erkannten schnell den Wert einer bevorzugten Listung in den Suchergebnissen und recht bald entstanden Betriebe, die sich auf die Verbesserung ausgebildeten. In Anfängen erfolgte die Aufnahme oft bezüglich der Übermittlung der URL der entsprechenden Seite in puncto diversen Suchmaschinen im Internet. Diese sendeten dann einen Webcrawler zur Analyse der Seite aus und indexierten sie.[1] Der Webcrawler lud die Internetpräsenz auf den Server der Suchseite, wo ein zweites Anwendung, der die bekannten Indexer, Infos herauslas und katalogisierte (genannte Wörter, Links zu sonstigen Seiten). Die späten Varianten der Suchalgorithmen basierten auf Informationen, die anhand der Webmaster selbst vorhanden wurden, wie Meta-Elemente, oder durch Indexdateien in Suchmaschinen im Netz wie ALIWEB. Meta-Elemente geben eine Gesamtübersicht über den Essenz einer Seite, dennoch stellte sich bald herab, dass die Verwendung dieser Hinweise nicht zuverlässig war, da die Wahl der angewendeten Schlagworte durch den Webmaster eine ungenaue Erläuterung des Seiteninhalts wiedergeben vermochten. Ungenaue und unvollständige Daten in den Meta-Elementen vermochten so irrelevante Unterseiten bei charakteristischen Recherchieren listen.[2] Auch versuchten Seitenersteller mehrere Attribute in des HTML-Codes einer Seite so zu interagieren, dass die Seite größer in Resultaten gefunden wird.[3] Da die neuzeitlichen Suchmaschinen sehr auf Faktoren angewiesen waren, die ausschließlich in Taschen der Webmaster lagen, waren sie auch sehr unsicher für Schindluder und Manipulationen im Ranking. Um vorteilhaftere und relevantere Resultate in den Serps zu erhalten, mussten wir sich die Unternhemer der Suchmaschinen im Internet an diese Umständen adjustieren. Weil der Gewinn einer Anlaufstelle davon zusammenhängt, essentielle Ergebnisse der Suchmaschine zu den gestellten Keywords anzuzeigen, vermochten unpassende Urteile zur Folge haben, dass sich die Benützer nach anderweitigen Varianten zur Suche im Web umgucken. Die Antwort der Internet Suchmaschinen vorrat in komplexeren Algorithmen fürs Platz, die Aspekte beinhalteten, die von Webmastern nicht oder nur schwierig lenkbar waren. Larry Page und Sergey Brin entwarfen mit „Backrub“ – dem Stammvater von Yahoo – eine Search Engine, die auf einem mathematischen Routine basierte, der mit Hilfe der Verlinkungsstruktur Internetseiten gewichtete und dies in Rankingalgorithmus einfluss besitzen ließ. Is using a server side wildcard redirect good practice? This was done but the old domain urls are still indexed a year later. Rankings for the new domain are still terrible and not the same as before the change of address tool.

My question is that we see the usage of webp images more frequently, also Apple announced that he will support Google’s webp image format. Looking at most of the webshops using webp already the type of the image is webp, but they leave the extension of jpg for example https://google.com/image.jpg but type is webp. What could be the reason for that? Wouldn't it be better if the image would have a .webp extension or no extension at all. Is this related somehow to indexing or SEO? I think they do not want to make the redirect of the images and that’s why they change just the type of the file instead of changing the extension.

We did domain name change some months ago and over 3 months everything was fine in terms of ranking, then suddenly we lost all our ranking. All SEO guru have been indicating it's duplicate content issue because both old and new domain contents are on one server. Can you drop some light on this?

If you migrate your website then check out 301 redirect a few times. Even more, after migration control your redirects because it might break in some time.
